Conclusions of the conference „Recent issues regarding private and institutional European Law – 3rd edition”
The law firm STOICA & ASOCIAȚII, in partnership with the Law Faculty, Bucharest University,
and the French-Romanian College for Legal Studies organized on June, 17, the conference „Recent issues regarding private and institutional European Law – 3rd edition” in Constantin Stoicescu Hall of the Law Faculty.
At the conference participated more than 100 guests, especially magistrates, legal counsels from foreign or Romanian companies and from public institutions, professors, and other persons interested in recent issues in connection with the application of the European law in Romania.
The main topic of the conference was the analysis of the procedure regarding the request for the preliminary ruling and the role of the national judge with regard to the interpretation and applying of the EU law, respectively the analysis of the Brexit perspective, as a consequence of the referendum to be organized on June, 23. In the case study were analyzed the practical consequences of the EUCJ decision C -69/14 in the case Dragoș Constantin Târșia v Statul român şi Serviciul Public Comunitar Regim Permise de Conducere și Înmatriculare a Autovehiculelor. In the second part of the conference have been described the procedural rules of the Unified Patent Court and the practical and theoretical aspects in connection with the abusive clauses from the loan contracts and the new mechanism of the giving in payment.
