with the occassion of celebrating 15 years since the foundation of STOICA & ASOCIAȚII Law Firm. In the interview, Mr Stoica reviewed the work of the law firm since its foundation in 1995 until present.
Since the very beginning, Valeriu Stoica had an ambitious plan for STOICA & ASOCIAȚII and for its associates, with a business profile based more on the Anglo-Saxon model and on a corporate structure that is gaining worldwide to the detriment of traditional advocacy. Now, after 15 years, what was considered an ambitious plan at that time was exceeded by the reality that followed.
According to 2009 information, the turnover of STOICA & ASOCIAȚII rank the law firm in seventh place with a profit margin around 30-40%. The first major client of STOICA & ASOCIAȚII was Shell, the British oil company, the longest being BRD. The first 10 customers bring 25% of company’s revenues. Litigations bring 60% of revenues while advisory services bring 40%.
Valeriu Stoica, Founding Partner of STOICA & ASOCIAȚII, is considered as one of the most prominent litigation lawyers, with a great presence in court. Valeriu Stoica said that he provides to the 10 partners a stable business model that fewer companies have and therefore STOICA & ASOCIAȚII had a greater stability of partners and lawyers."We offer benefits to partners and lawyers according to income, plus professional confort”.
The plans for the next five years would be maintaining the force of the litigation department, increasing advisory services and preserving customers loyalty.
