Equal pay and transparency

In a recent article,Andrei Buga– Partner, STOICA & ASOCIAȚII – briefly describes the purpose and scope of a European legislative proposal in the field of labor law - a draft Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council - on strengthening the application of the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value men and women through pay transparency.

Andrei Buga points out in the article how this Directive will have a major impact on large employers, who will be required to comply with a number of salary principles, disclose their salary levels and report on staff pay issues. At the same time, Member States will set up a system of fines for employers in breach of the principle of equal pay for men and women.
