ZF Power Summit 2023. Mihai Stănescu - STOICA & ASOCIAȚII: Heavy industry needs predictability

Our colleague, Mihai Stănescu – Managing Associate –, spoke today about the impact of the energy transition on the big industry, at the ZF Power Summit 2023.

Mihai Stănescu: "What we, as lawyers, believe that heavy industry needs at this moment is, obviously, predictability - both from the point of view of costs regarding raw materials and energy, but also regarding regulation, to the normative framework. The energy transition is obviously a reality and a necessity. Just as well, however, the heavy industry is a necessity. The fact that we still have it is an advantage, but it is up to us to take advantage of this advantage, to develop it, to preserve it. I think that what we want, in accordance with the actors in the industry, is the predictability of the legislative framework. We do not want normative acts, or emergency ordinances posted in draft one day and adopted the next day. If this goal were achieved, at least at the legal level, things would evolve."
