Webinar STOICA & ASOCIAȚII: About force majeure in contracts’ execution

The webinar "The fate of civil contracts during the pandemic. Case law solutions" held by Valentina Preda - Partner, STOICA & ASOCIAȚII -, on Wolters Kluwer platform, analyzed the practical problems arising in the development of different types of civil contracts (services, rental, transport) from a number of economic sectors (hospitality industry, transport, tourism, etc.), as determined by the health restrictions imposed to prevent and combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

Valentina Preda analyzed from the perspective of recent jurisprudence whether or not the fortuitous impossibility of fulfilling the contractual obligations and the Sars Cov-2 pandemic can be invoked or not as a case of force majeure, exonerating the concerned party from its contractual liability.
