Valeriu STOICA conference: Difficult Civil Law Issues (6th edition). The personal rights and the personal data protection

The event was organized on 21st of October by STOICA & ASOCIAȚII, in partnership with the Society of Juridical Science,
at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania.
Together with his guests, renowned professors, both from law faculties from Bucharest and from other cities, Professor Valeriu STOICA tackled the controversial legal matters in connection with the civil contractual liability, providing solutions to the difficult civil law issues raised herein.
More than 150 law practitioners participated at the conference – lawyers, legal advisers, magistrates, law professors, but also other people interested in the present issues raised by the rules regulating the contract, in accordance with the New Civil Code provisions.
During the conference organized by STOICA & ASOCIAȚII in partnership with the Society of Juridical Science the guests of Professor Valeriu STOICA, renowned professors of Romanian law faculties and from the Republic of Moldova, approached the controversial and practical legal matters in connection with the personal rights and the personal data protection, providing solutions to the difficult civil law issues raised herein. The special guest of the conference was Dan CHIRICĂ PhD., Faculty of Law, Babeş Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, that presented his latest book “Treaty on Civil Law. Special Contracts. First volume. The sale and the exchange”, published by Hamangiu Publishing House.
The invited speakers analysed during the conference held on the 20th of October the principal new elements and debated over the legal and technical instruments that will come into place as a consequence of the European reform from the personal data protection domain and the protection of private life. This legal novelty triggers significant organisational adjustments and technical conformity measures to be implemented by companies.
At the conference’s works moderated by Valeriu STOICA together with Bogdan DUMITRACHE participated legal practitioners – lawyers, legal advisers, magistrates, law professors, but also other people interested in the present issues raised by the implementation of the Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
