STOICA & ASOCIAȚII grants the Excellence award for the entire legal career to Professor Flavius-Antoniu Baias

Nicolae Volonciu, PhD (2017), Professor Corneliu Bîrsan, PhD (2018), Professor Raluca Miga Beșteliu, PhD (2019), Professor Dan Chirică, PhD (2020), Professor Emeritus Valentin Constantin, PhD (2021), Ioan Leș, PhD (2022) and Professor Camelia Toader, PhD (2023).

STOICA & ASOCIAȚII’s Partners decided to grant in 2024 the Excellence award for the entire legal career to Professor Flavius-Antoniu Baias, PhD, who dedicated, without hesitation, all his energy to the law, honouring with his skill and seriousness the professions of lawyer, judge, researcher at the Institute of Legal Research of the Romanian Academy, diplomat, secretary of state in the Ministry of Justice, arbitrator and legal expert.

Since 1991, his teaching and research activity in the field of private law (property rights, general theory of obligations and family law) materialized in the publication of reference scientific works, the solutions proposed with careful scientific rigor being taken over by practitioners and indicated as fundamental benchmarks by legal doctrine. Professor Flavius-Antoniu Baias's loyalty to academic activity was doubled by his attachment to the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, where he held the position of Dean for 12 years (2008-2020).

The prize was awarded during a ceremony, which took place at the headquarters of the law firm STOICA & ASOCIAȚII, on 19th of November.
