Roman Law course – edited by a STOICA & ASOCIAȚII lawyer
The initiative to republish the Roman Law course written by Matei G. Nicolau, Constantin Hamangiu - originally published in 1930 - represents an attempt to recover the deep spirit of law, beyond legal positivism. Roman law has, at least in the view of some authors, the ability to reflect a universal and immutable right.
The work had the unfortunate fate of remaining almost unknown in the domestic legal landscape. It is the merit of our colleague, Alin-Gabriel Oprea - Associate, STOICA & ASOCIAȚII - to have accidentally discovered this work, in the database of the Argeș County Library, in 2015.
The reader should be warned that the work requires some exercise in depth on the part of the one who wishes to go through it. However, those who will go through the pages of the book will be really fascinated by the way in which the authors managed, almost a century ago, to transform such abstract Roman law into a captivating history.
The Roman Law course- edited by Alin-Gabriel Oprea and published by Hamangiu Publishing House -can be purchased from HERE.
