New webinar on the force majeure in contracts’ execution

Valentina Preda - Partner, STOICA & ASOCIAȚII – will be the speaker in the webinar "The fate of civil contracts during the pandemic. Case law solutions" which will take place on Thursday, March 10, at 15:00, within the AHK Community Talks series, in partnership with the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce.

Valentina Preda will analyze the practical problems arising in the development of different types of civil contracts (services, rental, transport) from a number of economic sectors (hospitality industry, transport, tourism, etc.), as determined by the health restrictions imposed to prevent and combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

Moreover, from the perspective of recent jurisprudence, it will be analyzed whether or not the fortuitous impossibility of fulfilling the contractual obligations and the Sars Cov-2 pandemic can be invoked or not as a case of force majeure, exonerating the concerned party from its contractual liability.
