National Family Law Conference - Parental Alienation, Family Violence. Remedies

The Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, in partnership with the publishing house Wolters Kluwer Romania and with the support of STOICA & ASOCIAȚII, organizes the National Conference on Family Law - Parental Alienation, Domestic Violence. Remedies, on May 16, in the Constantin Stoicescu Hall of the Faculty of Law.

The current legislation regarding family relations and relations between parents and children is deficient in solving specific problems, generated by family violence, often encountered in judicial practice. A new facet of severe psychological abuse as a form of family violence is parental alienation, a worrying phenomenon that appeared in Romanian society with the entry into force of the new Code of Civil Procedure, which allowed the implementation of measures regarding minors to be practical paralyzed by the child's refusal, regardless of his age, thus leading to non-compliance with court rulings.

A correct understanding of the phenomenon of family violence will prove necessary for all those involved in cases concerning minors, because the success of the new rules will also depend on how they are implemented.

The live broadcast can be watched on social media platforms and within the legislative platform Sintact.ro
