Different types of the stautory preemption right

Preemption is the right by which its owner can, under the conditions established by law or by a contract, buy a good with priority before other people. In a recent article, our colleague, Marius Chelaru – Managing Associate, STOICA & ASOCIAȚII-, analyzes the legal regime of the statutory preemption, according to different categories of real estate, mentioning the holders of the preemption right, the applicable procedure, the legal deadlines and the sanction that can be applied, in case of non-compliance with the notification obligation.
