Cătălina Dicu and Valentina Elena Preda – speakers at the National Conference on Family Law

STOICA & ASOCIAȚII is besides The Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, the National Institute of Magistracy, in partnership with Wolters Kluwer Romania at the "National Conference on Family Law. Violence in Family Relations" (2nd edition), taking place on October 16, starting at 14.30, in the Constantin Stoicescu Hall of the Faculty of Law.

During the conference, our colleagues, Cătălina Dicu– Senior Partner  - și Valentina Elena Preda – Partner -, will give a presentation entitled "In the shadow of violence – Practical issues relating to protection orders." The discussion will analyze complex legal and procedural issues regarding: (i) the interpretation of the concept of domestic violence (physical vs. psychological); (ii) situations in which minors are victims or witnesses of domestic violence; (iii) the definition of imminent risk; (iv) the use of electronic surveillance devices; (v) and the role of psychological counselling as a means of prevention and family reintegration.

The event will also be broadcast online, free of charge, on the legislative platform Sintact.ro.
