Ainsley Gill Dispute Resolution and STOICA & ASOCIAȚII win an international arbitration against one of the world's largest steel producers

Ainsley Gill Dispute Resolution and STOICA & ASOCIAȚIIsuccessfully assisted a leading Romanian manufacturer, importer, and distributor of construction materials, in an arbitration case against a global steel industry player. The proceedings were conducted under the rules of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris, the world's foremost institution for international arbitration.

The legal team, comprising Ben Ainsley Gill(Solicitor, Ainsley Gill Dispute Resolution – United Kingdom), respectively Cristiana I. Stoica (Founding Partner, STOICA & ASOCIATII), Andreea Stoica (Managing Partner, STOICA & ASOCIATII) and Alin-Gabriel Oprea (Senior Associate, STOICA & ASOCIATII) successfully secured a full award in favour of the claimant. The arbitral tribunal granted the entire pecuniary claims presented, amounting to over €600,000. This sum included fully awarded legal fees, ICC administrative expenses, and approximately €100,000 in interest.

The arbitration dispute arising from the conclusion and execution of steel supply contracts was resolved under the ICC's Expedited Procedure provisions by a sole arbitrator. Despite the complexity of the parties' arguments and proposed evidence, at their request, the case was adjudicated solely based on submitted documents, without hearings or expert reports, facilitating a swifter resolution.
