Can competition authorities alter market structures to restore competition?

Our colleague, Iulian Chetreanu—Junior Lawyer—will give a presentation on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. (Romanian time), a presentation in French as part of the international webinar series "Les Autorités du droit économique” (2026–2027), organized by the Association Internationale de Droit Économique (A.I.D.E.).

His presentation, titled "Competition Authorities and the Use of Structural Measures: From Market Regulation and Beyond,” will address the legal foundations and conditions for applying structural measures in competition law, as well as their role in correcting market structures.

Particular attention will be given to the differences between the European and American approaches, as well as to the challenges associated with regulating large companies in the digital sector.

The webinar is part of a series of events dedicated to contemporary transformations of regulatory authority in economic law, bringing together international academic and professional perspectives.
