Priority of local tax receivables

In the article “Î.C.C.J. clarifies the issue of the priority of claims from local taxes” published on the news portal, Mihai Stănescu (Managing Associate) and Cornelia Deaconescu (Associate) analyzes how in solving an appeal in the interest of the law filed by the Court of Appeal of Cluj, the High Court of Cassation and Justice has determined that the amounts of local taxes (taxes on buildings, land) owed for goods used in insolvency proceedings, raised by a preferential case in favor of a creditor, due after the debtor’s bankruptcy date, does not benefit from the order of priority of payment.
